When I thought about having a separate blog about movies, then out of many questions like an interesting theme setup and name of the blog, there was one more question in mind that with which movie entry, the blog will get a start.
I already watched more than 400 movies since March 2009, but I thought to choose the best one to write for the first on this blog; The Man From The Earth.
A young and charming professor, who is leaving a university, in his farewell with eight people in same room, claims that he is one, who lived 14, 000 years straight. He says and keep on proving and assuring it in front of most knowledgeable people around. Conversations moves from stone age to Buddha and Christ and like those eight people in the room, you find yourself stunned.

It stands as the best movie, I ever seen till now, just because its like some Entrepreneur of its era, makes the biggest impression out of nothing. May be, if it was some other story, then we were disappointed by acting performances or something else, but full credits goes to Jerome, the writer of many TV episodes including 4 of Star Trek, 1 of Twilight Zone and of few movies including Fantastic Voyage.
There was nothing to show off in this movie means no special effects, no big name, nothing. Just a innovative story idea and a simple room filled with a few actors. But when you get finished with watching the movie, whatever you might be, you come up with the words “What the hell?? What I just watched?” I really find no one, who can stop himself/ herself without talking about it after watching.
“ But I also seen people, who watch movies, by forwarding scene by scene to just take a look what’s going on in movie and is it worth watching? I remind you, it is not for the people, who cant sit down to watch out scene by scene, dialogue by dialogue as they come very fast and worth noticing. ”
I also would like to take the place for mentioning, what I come to read from DoshDosh and from RLSLOG. The later was an article, whose authenticity I can’t assure, but was interesting to read. It says that they got an mail from the official site of Man from Earth saying thanks to Piracy, which placed this small low budget independent movie on the map by overwhelming number of positive reviews and rankings all over.
Can it be true? Don’t know, but yes! its true that it jumped from ranking of around 11, 000 something to #1 sci fi movie on IMDB.
At the end, I wish to remind you all, you are missing something incredible, if you missed to watch this movie.
